Low Ultra-Violet and Blue Light Compact Fluorescent Lamps
A range of brands, models, and wattage double envelope compact fl uorescent lamps
(CFL) were purchased and tested in Australia in late 2009 by the Australian Radiation
Protection and Nuclear Safety Authority (ARPANSA). All lamps were found to have lower
total ultra-violet radiation (UVR) emissions (sunburn potential—CIE weighted) than the
equivalent wattage traditional incandescent bulbs tested.
