2024 AGM & Members Conference

Tuesday 8th October 2024 is a day of inspiration, celebration and networking. The day kicks off with our Conference (10am – 1pm) followed by the Excellence Awards in the evening (6.30pm till late).

Michael Rosetta
Michael RosettaBusiness Development Manager - Omexom
  • Michael is a Business Development Manager and former Business Unit General Manager at ACT Smart Lighting, with extensive experience in managing large-scale energy projects.
  • Michael played a key role in pioneering Australia’s first streetlight energy performance contract, achieving over 50% energy and emission reductions.
  • Michael has also collaborated with the Australian National University to study the benefits of smart lighting control in reducing light pollution.
  • Michael will share insights and learnings from the ACT Smart Lighting Project
Alison Scotland
Alison ScotlandExecutive Director - Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC)
  • ASBEC is a body of peak organisations committed to a vision of more sustainable, productive and resilient buildings, communities and cities.
  • Alison’s passion and expertise lies in collaborating with industry, government and third sector leaders to develop national policy and technical solutions that enhance the built environment.
  • Alison will provide an overview of the new developments in the smart cities space, the critical role of lighting and opportunities for the lighting industry.
Bonnie Shek
Bonnie ShekDirector - Australia/New Zealand, Hong Kong Trade Development Council
  • Bonnie is a seasoned professional with marketing, business development and management experience in Asia/Pacific.
  • Having grown up in Hong Kong, then living in Australia and travelling back & forth to New Zealand for over 30 years, Bonnie understands the business dynamics among the three economies.
  • Bonnie will share her insights into the business opportunities in Hong Kong and how to use Hong Kong to expand into China and Asia.
Malcolm Cole
Malcolm ColeManaging Director, SAS Group
  • Malcolm brings extensive expertise in and around political and public communications and advocacy.
  • As a senior Ministerial Adviser to the Foreign Minister, Malcolm managed sensitive and complex communications issues on behalf of the Australian Government.
  • Malcolm will present a rundown on the current political state of play, with four elections expected across the country in the next six months and discuss how this presents a timely opportunity for members of the Lighting Council to have their voice heard.
