Lighting Council Australia was established in 2001 as an independent industry body to represent, advocate for, and advance the interests of Australia's lighting industry, with a focus on promoting quality, energy efficient, and environmentally responsible lighting.
Prior to its inception, Lighting had been a sub-group within the Australian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (AEEMA).
